This session aims to humanize recent advances in the Alzheimer's disease (AD) therapeutic landscape through practical guidance for general neurologists to support the application of approved and emerging AD treatments. Two neurologists who specialize in AD will provide expert insights on the following topics: the urgent need for early AD detection and diagnosis, an overview of AD pathophysiology and advances in diagnostic technologies, and considerations for implementing AD treatments, including appropriate patient selection and specific provider responsibilities. This session will also highlight the importance of adapting collaborative care teams to optimize clinical management of patients with AD, emphasizing the role of neurologists within multidisciplinary teams. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain practical clinical insights from the speakers through an illustrative case study and a Q&A session. This symposium will emphasize the impact of early diagnosis and treatment initiation on patients with AD, enhance understanding of AD fundamentals, and provide actionable clinical guidance on the implementation of emerging treatments within collaborative care teams.
