Agnieszka Kielian, MD

Dr. Agnieszka Kielian is a Pediatric Neurologist at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School with special expertise in pediatric stroke and cerebrovascular diseases, epilepsy, and neurocritical care. Dr. Kielian is deeply committed to exceptional patient care, patient-centered research, medical education, quality improvement, global health, and advocacy. Through her local and international work and teaching, she strives to help children and their families live out their best lives. She is actively working on increasing access to specialty care, not only locally, but also nationally and internationally, particularly in resource-limited settings. To that effect, she is involved in several initiatives, including neurology response in war-stricken Ukraine including delivery of anti-seizure medications to difficult-to-access regions, expanding healthcare infrastructure including expanding local capacity for newborn screening in Chile, creation of a Pan-American Neurology training program, and creation of online and on-demand neurology/epilepsy tutorials for medical professionals and community healthcare providers in Zambia and Rwanda. Through her work locally and internationally, Dr. Kielian strives to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the health and well-being of children with neurological conditions worldwide.
