Dr. Archana Patel is a Pediatric Epileptologist and Director of Global Neurology at Boston Children’s Hospital, Visiting Lecturer at UTH-Children’s Hospital (Zambia) and Volunteer Lecturer at the University of Global Health Equity (Rwanda). Her research focuses on early identification and treatment of pediatric epilepsy in low resource regions, including identifying epileptogenesis biomarkers after cerebral malaria, development of diagnostic support tools, studying the impact of short-course educational interventions for first level providers and epilepsy community health worker initiatives in both Zambia and Rwanda. She has is heavily involved in supporting the development and growth of the Zambia Pediatric Neurology training program.
