Dr. Carlos Pardo is a Professor of Neurology and Pathology, and a clinician-scientist focused on studies dedicated to understanding and managing neurological, neuroimmune, and neuroinfectious disorders. His research centers on studies of neurological disorders' immunopathogenesis, and disease biomarkers. He is the director of the Myelitis & Myelopathy Center and the Neurosarcoidosis Clinic at Johns Hopkins Hospital, a unique, specialized center dedicated to diagnosing and researching these disorders. He leads the Hopkins-UCSF project “Neurosarcoidosis: Clinical Phenotype, Biomarkers, and Immunopathogenesis Study” supported by NIH, which focuses on prospective clinical phenotyping and characterization of disease biomarkers in neurosarcoidosis to characterize clinical phenotypes and immunopathogenesis.
