Erika Arias, BSc

Erika Arias is an MD, PhD student at the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. She earned her bachelor's degree in biology from MIT, where she developed an interest in research. At Northwestern, she joined Dr. William Muller's laboratory, which focuses on leukocyte diapedesis in inflammation. Additionally, she is mentored by Dr. David Sullivan and Dr. Ayush Batra on research centered on ischemia/reperfusion in stroke. Her work aims to deepen our understanding of inflammatory responses in stroke and inform future therapeutic approaches.
