Kristin Guilliams, MD, MSCI

Dr. Kristin Guilliams is a pediatric neurologist and pediatric intensivist specializing in pediatric cerebrovascular diseases. As an Associate Professor in Neurology, Pediatrics, and Radiology, she serves as section head of Pediatric Neurocritical Care at Washington University and director of the Pediatric Stroke Program at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Her translational imaging lab investigates changes in cerebral blood flow and metabolism throughout childhood to understand neurologic vulnerability of children with sickle cell disease. Beyond her own lab, Dr. Guilliams actively collaborates with many others in the field. She co-chairs the Acute Management Working Group of the International Pediatric Stroke Study, and is the current chair of the Pediatric Neurocritical Care Research Group, an international organization dedicated to promoting research and education in the field of neurocritical care.
