Dr. Lori Jordan, MD, PhD is a Professor of Pediatrics, Neurology, and Radiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN where she directs the pediatric stroke program. She completed residency in Pediatrics and Child Neurology followed by a fellowship in Vascular Neurology (Stroke) at Johns Hopkins. Her NIH-funded research program focuses on the neurological sequelae of sickle cell disease, using advanced MRI methods to understand cerebral hemodynamic differences that may predispose to stroke. A newer line of research includes the neurological, developmental, and cognitive challenges in children with chronic illness at high risk for brain injury including those with type 1 diabetes and congenital heart disease.
