Dr. Nora Vanegas-Arroyave, MD is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine. She completed a combined clinical-research fellowship in Movement Disorders at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She spent four years as faculty at Columbia University where she was primarily dedicated to Neuromodulation. She then transitioned to Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) as Director of Neuromodulation Research in 2020. Her clinical and research efforts at BCM focus on understanding the physiology of cognitive and motor symptoms in Parkinson’s Disease, with the goal of optimizing the design and delivery of precision neuromodulation treatments. She is the principal investigator of various funded neuromodulation studies implementing spinal cord stimulation, deep brain stimulation and focused ultrasound in individuals with Parkinson’s Disease.
