Dr. Oana Dumitrascu, MD, MSc is a clinician scientist, Associate Professor of Neurology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and Alyx School of Medicine, and Consultant in the Departments of Neurology and Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic Arizona. She is the Co-Director of the Neurology Artificial Intelligence Program at Mayo Clinic Arizona. Dr. Dumitrascu is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology with board certification in Neurology and Vascular Neurology. She is a Fellow of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society and American Society of Neuroimaging.
As a practicing clinician scientist in Vascular Neurology and Neuro-ophthalmology, she has strong research interests in developing retinal imaging biomarkers for cognitive disorders and applied Artificial Intelligence methods to vascular and neurodegenerative disorders. She has additional interests in clinical trials, quality improvement and evidence-based medicine. She was awarded federal and foundation grants as a Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator. She served as a Co-Investigator in multiple multicentric seminal clinical trials in the field of neuroscience. She has an extensive publication record, is a reviewer and editor for multiple journals, and national and international lecturer.
