Shadi Ghourchian, MD (Emerging Scholar)

Dr. Shadi Ghourchian completed medical school and a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship in neurology research in Iran. In 2019, she completed two post-doctoral fellowships – one in movement disorders at the University of Maryland and another in neuropathology of Dementia at Northwestern University. In 2022, she began an internal medicine preliminary year of training at Meharry College of Medicine and then started her neurology residency at the Downstate Neurology at OBH program in July 2023. Dr. Ghourchian is currently anticipating the commencement of her fellowship in neurodegenerative diseases and Movement disorders.
