Dr. Thomas Lloyd performed his MD/PhD at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) followed by neurology residency and neuromuscular medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins University (JHU). At JHU, he served as Director of the Neuromuscular Pathology laboratory, Co-Director of the Johns Hopkins Myositis Center, and PI for multiple IBM clinical trials and enrolled over 250 IBM patients into a large natural history study. He now serves as professor and chair of neurology at BCM where his clinical and laboratory research programs focus on neuromuscular degenerative diseases including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Charcot Marie Tooth (CMT) disease, and inclusion body myositis (IBM).
