Yunshuo Tang, MD, PhD (Emerging Scholar)

Dr. Yunshuo Tang is a neuro-ophthalmologist and physician scientist in the Departments of Neurology and Ophthalmology at Washington University in Saint Louis. She obtained her MD and PhD degrees at the University of California, San Francisco in 2017. After completing a neurology residency at Washington University/Barnes Jewish Hospital, she did a research fellowship in the Gutmann laboratory, funded by the R25 grant, while completing clinical fellowships in dementia and neuro-ophthalmology. Dr. Tang's current research, funded by the K08 grant, focuses on intrinsic and extrinsic mechanisms of neuronal death and vision loss in a murine model of neurofibromatosis type-1-associated optic pathway glioma.
