DescriptionIn this session, a step by step approach to career development as a neurology educator will be discussed. Best practices for promotion as a clinician educator and navigating challenges will be emphasized.
Clinical Career Tracks: Challenges and Strategies for Success
DescriptionDuring the presentation we will review strategies for improving efficiency to facilitate success and highlighting common pitfalls which may impede it.
SpeakersImpacting Neurology Through Research: A Perspective
DescriptionThis lecture will provide a perspective on how to develop scientific core competencies that are sustainable and that can make an impact. How should one become trained in research relevant to clinical neurology? What kind of balance should one achieve between research, teaching and clinical care? Does my research need to be relevant to my clinical interests? Do I need to run my own laboratory? These and other questions will be addressed in the discussion/lecture.
