Dr. Andrea Gropman is Chief of Neurogenetics/ Interim Director of the Center for Genetic Medicine Research, Principal Investigator of the Urea Cycle Disorders Consortium and deputy clinical director of the Mito EpiGen research collaborative. She has authored more than 250 peer review articles, 20 book chapters and edited 6 textbooks. She maintains an active research portfolio and mentors student, trainees, and faculty. She has dedicated her career towards translational research to understand the underpinnings of neurological injury in neurometabolic disorders, and establishing neuromonitoring protocols that can be implemented universally in clinical settings to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
